GETTING MY BIBO CRYSTAL TO WORK

Hygroscopic crystal materials deteriorate when they are not often kept in adequately dry air (or maybe a dry purge gas). This is applicable e.g. to KDP and BBO, and in a lesser extent to LBO. It might be handy to maintain such a crystal at a to some degree elevated temperature, which makes it much easier to maintain it dry.If the crystal surfaces
